Master Bath Renovation
We completed this beautiful master bathroom renovation in Baltimore, MD bringing all new everything to a 1925 colonial.

The request initially came in as a water leak that no plumber could solve or wanted to touch. The previous bathroom was an 80’s build that did not hold up well both structurally and aesthetically. When I saw galvanized pipe rising from the basement and copper pipe in the bathroom I suspected the leak was from where the two different pipe materials met. Sure enough when we got the wall and floor open we could see where the connection had failed.

At this point, between the leak and the eyesore, the clients wanted a clean slate so we took it all down to the studs and joists, leveled and reinforced the structure, insulated, brought in new plumbing and electric, installed floor tile over an electric floor heating system, installed a new bathtub and shower, trimmed the room with custom wainscoting and chair rail, installed contemporary fixtures, hung a few doors, and wrapped it up with a few coats of paint.

Big jobs in small spaces have their challenges but when the results are this good it’s well worth the effort.

 

 

Back Yard Hardscaping and Pergola Construction We built a pergola, fence, retaining wall, and paver patio for this backyard retreat in Baltimore, MD.

The homeowners had been in their home for a few years. The previous owner did a great job on the interior work but left much to be desired in the back yard. There was an old concrete retaining wall that was failing and a chain fence that had to go.

The clients initially wanted a privacy fence installed and the wall replaced. Then during a meeting about fence styles they hit me with the idea of doing a pitched pergola under most of the space.

I thought it was a fantastic idea as pergolas can bring much form and function to any outdoor space (In the back of my mind I knew this meant cutting through a lot of concrete and digging some deep holes not only for the pergola but for the fence as well). We find some weird stuff sometimes during excavations, especially in older properties.

We moved a few tons of material out and in to complete this job. The clients love it, the inspector dug it, so it’s on to the next one. Oh and while we were there we fixed a leaky skylight that had been nagging the homeowner’s for a few weeks

 

 

Master Bath Build We turned two rooms into one large master bath with separate jacuzzi tub and shower, dual pedestal sinks, and heated floors. The shower tile was a very custom job to match the contours of the space.

 

Kitchen Renovation We turned three rooms into one spacious kitchen. We made these custom concrete counters too.

Window Restoration in Baltimore Maryland

We do historical window restoration with safe and chemical free products that outperform any other paint and window glazing available. We use organic linseed-based products that absorb deep into the wood. All other products simply seal at the surface which can trap moisture and cause rot.

We perform dust free paint and window glaze removal, clean and replace broken glass, repair any rot, restore hardware, paint and install your home’s original windows. If we find a window which is beyond repair we can replace the window using new yet period correct materials.

Depending on it’s condition, the window can be restored in place with minimal intrusion. There are situations where removing the windows and taking them off site can be a better option for the homeowner and can speed up the window restoration process.
